Gwyneth's Trick or Treat Adventure

Gwyneth's Trick or Treating Adventure is a mixed media piece completed on an 8” X 8” gallery wrapped canvas with Glamour Dust added to make it sparkle and shine.  Layering is the key to a mixed media piece along with the paint application and color choice, combining these design elements really gives this piece the depth and change in value that I was going for.  The trees and moon are cut out of vintage paper although any book paper you have will work, the stenciling in the background as well as the transparent layers added to the moon really give the impression of dimension.   The paper added to this piece makes the viewer look twice wondering how that was accomplished.  An air of mystery is always good for a Halloween project.  The characters on this piece are painted with acrylic paints, the bright colors makes the piece “pop”.
